Air Products & Chemicals sells gases and chemicals for industrial use including oxygen, nitrogen, argon, hydrogen and carbon dioxide. The company is the global leader in the supply of liquefied natural gas process technology and equipment and has had a working relationship with NASA for fifty years and has supplied the liquid hydrogen used for every Space Shuttle launch and the Mercury and Apollo missions. Air Products & Chemicals has 20,000 employees worldwide, operates in more than 50 countries and has approximately 170,000 customers. Air Products & Chemicals stock (APD.xnys) is listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), had a market capitalisation of $65.93B (USD) as of January 2022 and $8.85B (USD) in 2020 yearly revenue. The company signed together with ACWA Power and NEOM an agreement with ThyssenKrupp for a world-scale green hydrogen-based ammonia production facility powered by renewable energy. Air Products, NEOM, ACWA Power will operate the facility, which will produce hydrogen to be synthesised into carbon-free ammonia for export exclusively by Air Products to global markets, starting production in 2026.
