Takeaway.com NV Profile

Takeaway.com NV (TKWY.xams) is a leading Anglo-Dutch food delivery marketplace and online platform headquartered in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Takeaway.com is focused on connecting consumers and restaurants in 15 countries in Europe and the Middle East. Following clearance by the British Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) in April 2020, Takeaway.com merged with the UK food delivery service Just Eat, in February 2020. The company handles over 800,000 orders per month for 10,000 restaurants on its website. Takeaway.com NV employs approximately 8.000 people and has a €16.23B (EUR) market cap. It is traded on the Euronext Amsterdam, the London Stock Exchange (LSE), and on NASDAQ as a constituent of the Amsterdam Exchange Index (AEX). Following a dramatic depreciation of its value, Takeaway.com NV’s largest investors want the food-delivery firm to make changes to shape up and explore a merger. Takeaway.com NV has promised to make a case for itself in October.

Share CFD Trading FAQ

Each investor owning shares of a company is also owning fragments of the company. A quite simple way to explain what a stock is is basically when a company divides itself into several shares and then it makes a part of these equities available to the public, at a price. Each investor owning shares of a company is owning fragments of the company.

While shares represent units of ownership within a company Contracts for Difference (CFDs) allow traders to speculate on the future share price fluctuations of an underlying asset. Thus when trading CFDs traders do not physically own the underlying asset. CFDs are available for a range of underlying assets, such as shares, commodities, and foreign exchange, and indices.
