Corning Incorporated is a worldwide company specialising in display technologies, optical communications, environmental remedies, specialty materials, and life sciences. Display Technologies, a division of the corporation, manufactures glass substrates for LCD screens and organic light-emitting diodes in use in televisions, laptops, workstation monitors, tablets, and mobile devices. Its Optical Communications business manufactures optical fibres and cables, as well as devices and hardware for a variety of carrier services and applications, including cable assemblies, fibre optic hardware and connectors, optical elements and couplers, closures, and network interface devices. Environmental Systems is a division of the company that produces ceramic surfaces and filter systems for emissions standards in mobile, gasoline, and fuel uses. Its Specialty Materials division is expanding its manufacturing capabilities, with products such as glass, glass ceramics, and fluoride crystal formulations.

Under the Corning, Falcon, Pyrex, and Axygen brands, the company's Life Sciences sector sells laboratory consumables such as plastic vessels, specialty surfaces, cell culture media, and serum, as well as general labware and equipment. Corning Glass Works was the company's previous name until April 1989, when it changed to Corning Incorporated. Corning is headquartered in New York.
