Ballard Power Systems Inc (BLDP.xnas) is a developer and manufacturer of proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cell products headquartered in Burnaby, Canada. Ballard has 630 employees and offers its products for markets such as heavy-duty motive (consisting of bus, tram and applications), material handling, portable power, and engineering services. Ballard delivers fuel cells also for marine applications, trains, mining trucks, and backup power systems for critical infrastructure. A fuel cell system for application in drones is under development. The cοmpany has already designed and shipped over 400 MW οf fuel cell prοducts. In cooperation with Audi AG, Ballard is part of a development partnership for automotive fuel cells, which will run at least until 2022. Additionally, Ballard announced orders for 31 modules, totalling 3 MW of hydrogen fuel cell power, to a leading global construction, electric power, and off-road equipment manufacturer expected to be delivered in 2022 and 2023 to match planned integration, testing and deployment schedules.
