American Tower Corp (AMT.xnys) is a real estate investment trust headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, United States. ATC also is an owner and operator of wireless and broadcast communications infrastructure in several countries across the United States, in Argentina, Australia, Bangladesh, Brazil, Burkina Faso, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Kenya, Colombia, Germany, Ghana, France, India, Mexico, Niger, Paraguay, Nigeria, Peru, Philippines, Poland, South Africa, Spain, and Uganda. ATC employs 5,454 people and owns 219,000 communications sites and more than 175,000 properties worldwide, providing customised solutions through in-building systems, outdoor distributed antenna systems and other right-of-way options, managed rooftops and services. American Tower Corp stock (AMT) is listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), had a market capitalisation of $116.33B (USD) as of January 2022 and $8.04B (USD) in 2020 yearly revenue. ATC announced in late 2021 that it had completed the acquisition of CoreSite for $170.00/share in cash, and the total consideration for the transaction was approximately $10.1B (USD). ACT’s transaction is expected to create a differentiated, comprehensive and interconnected communications real estate platform optimally positioned to benefit from the convergence of wireline and wireless networks amid accelerating global 5G deployments.
