Banco Sabadell operates in more than 20 countries worldwide and has three commercial banks in Spain, the United Kingdom, and Mexico. The Sabadell group consists of several banks, brands, subsidiaries, and associated banks. The Spanish bank operates a network of 1,614 domestic, over 600 international branches, has 23,458 employees and approximately 11 million customers globally. Banco de Sabadell SA (SAB.xmad) is traded on the Madrid Stock Exchange (BMAD), as a Benchmark Stock Market Index of Madrid Stock Exchange (IBEX 35) constituent, has a €3.68B (EUR) market cap and €220M (EUR) in 2021 revenues. Following unsuccessful merger negotiations with Spanish rival bank BBVA SA, Banco de Sabadell reached a deal with Spain’s leading union to lay off another 1605 employees.
