Metro AG operates an extensive business membership network of about 680 only cash and carry stores primarily under the METRO and MAKRO brands in 23 countries in Europe and Asia, including France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Poland, the Netherlands, Russia, India, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, and Turkey. METRO has approximately 95.000 employees and provides food and non-food assortments to more than 16M clients worldwide. In 2020, Metro AG completed the divestment of the majority stake in Metro China and its 97 wholesale stores to Wumei Technology Group worth €1,5B (EUR). Metro AG stock (B4B.xetr) is traded on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (FWB), has a €3.9B (EUR) market cap as of November 2021 and €26.76B (EUR) in 2020 yearly revenue.
