History of Polish Zlotych
After the Polish marka was abolished on 28 February 1919, the new currency was put into use in 1924. It was formed in Warsaw on February 10, 1766, and is the sole authorised entity to produce or mint zloty coins in Poland. Consequently, 10,000 old zoty (PLZ) became one new zoty (PLZ) on January 1, 1995. (PLN).
History of the Euro
After a decade of planning, the euro was put into use on January 1, 1999. For the first three years, it was a "invisible" currency, only used for accounting and electronic payments. Coins and banknotes came out on January 1, 2002. In 12 European Union countries, the biggest cash changeover in history took place, and it was the largest in history.
