Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc. is a multinational hospitality company that manages and franchises a broad portfolio of 18 world-class brands, including more than 6,700 properties and more than 1 million rooms, in 122 countries and territories headquartered in Virginia, U.S. The company was ranked high on the 2021 World's Best Workplaces list and provided services to more than three billion guests in its more than one hundred year history. Hilton has 141,000 employees globally as of the beginning of 2021. Hilton opened three new hotels under LXR Hotels & Resorts, including the brand's first property in the Asia Pacific region, its 500th hotel under its Home2 Suites brand and a 200-room Hilton Hotel Tahiti, the capital of French Polynesia. Also, a notable signing was that of the Conrad LA, Hilton's first property in CA, U.S. Hilton is expected to open the 300-room hotel as part of the Grand LA mixed-use development in 2022. Amazon.com Inc has made a contract with Hilton to sell virtual medical services, bringing Hilton the first hospitality customer of Amazon. All its U.S. employees entered into a corporate health plan will have Amazon Care as a benefit next year. For the third quarter of 2021, Hilton’s net income was USD 240M and adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation was USD 519M, up 132% year over year and down 14% compared to 2019.
