BHP Group Ltd (BHP.xasx) is a leading global resources company headquartered in Melbourne, Australia. BHP extracts and processes minerals, oil and gas with 80,000 employees and contractors primarily in Australia and the Americas. BHP products include iron ore, copper, nickel, metallurgical coal, petroleum and potash, and they are available worldwide, with sales and marketing led through Singapore and Houston, United States. BHP Group operations involve four processing hubs and five mines, connected by more than 1,000 km of rail infrastructure and port facilities in the Pilbara region of northern Western Australia. The BHP Group Ltd stock is listed on the New York Exchange (NYSE), had a market capitalisation of $169,67B (USD) as of January 2022, and $42,93B (USD) in 2020 yearly revenue. BHP Group partnership with Caterpillar Inc and Komatsu to develop zero-emissions haul trucks and separate agreements for renewable energy supply contracts at BHP’s Nickel West, Escondida, Queensland coal mines and Olympic Dam operations as well as a solar farm at Nickel West. BHP will purchase four battery-electric locomotives and conduct trials at its Western Australia Iron Ore rail network in order to reduce its operational emissions and schedule for delivery in late 2023.
