Uber Technologies Inc. (UBER) is an American technology company headquartered in San Francisco, USA. Its services include ride-hailing, food delivery, package delivery, couriers, freight transportation, electric bicycle, and motorized scooter rental. Uber Technologies Inc. (UBER) has a market cap of $91.12B (USD) and it is traded on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), Russell 1000 Index component that tracks the highest-ranking 1,000 stocks and its share prices in the Russell 3000 Index. Following the IPO (Initial Public Offering) in May 2019, UBER’s share price dropped 11% resulting in the biggest IPO first-day dollar loss in US history. The company has fired 7535 employees and announced a $12B (USD) loss in the last two years. Since December 2020, UBER’s share price seems to be getting back on track following the company’s collaboration with Greenwall pharmacies for facilitating vaccination appointments through its app and for offering free vaccine deliveries. In April, UBER announced an expansion of its food-delivery sector to accommodate a vaccinated public.
