Following the news last week that Boris Johnson has asked the Queen to prorogue Parliament, replacing the parliamentary recess designated for party conferences with a full suspension until October 14th when there will be a Queen’s Speech, this week there is set to be an explosive showdown in the Houses of Parliament.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson has warned Tory rebel MPs that they will be ejected from the Conservative Party if they elect to join forces with leader of the opposition Jeremy Corbyn to try and prevent a no-deal Brexit this week. With Remainer Speaker John Bercow looking set to hand control of the parliamentary agenda to opposition MPs, we can expect fireworks at Westminster.
